Administration


Project administration for approved projects with an overall budget of:

  1. $15,000 or less
  2. more than $15,000
  3. on completion of stage 2

Approved projects with an overall budget of $15,000 or less


The approved sum will be transferred to the applicant's internal account using the account code supplied by the applicant.

Shortly before the stated completion date of your project, you will be contacted by the Office of Industry and Innovation to arrange a review meeting. This is a meeting of one to two hours that aims to achieve the following:

  1. Review the project outcomes.
  2. Review the project expenditure (planned versus actual).
    Any underspend is to be returned to the Pathfinder fund, including the tabling of all sub-contract or third-party receipts for scrutiny.
  3. Discuss next steps for the technology.
  4. Review the final report.

Approved projects with an overall budget of more than $15,000


Note: this applies to stages one and two.

The approved sum for stage 1 will be transferred to the applicant's internal account using the account code supplied by the applicant. Please note:

  • Funds allocated to an external consultant for market scoping or business planning will be paid directly to the external consultant by us. Invoices to external consultants will only be paid after satisfactory completion of the assignment and on presentation of a tax invoice.
  • Projects that other parties are also contributing funding to will require confirmation of the other funders commitment prior to Pathfinder funds being transferred.

Shortly after the completion date of stage 1, you will be contacted by us to arrange a review meeting. This is a meeting of one to two hours that aims to achieve the following:

  1. Review the outcomes and expenditure incurred during stage 1.
  2. Review the project plan and projection budget for stage 2.
  3. Discuss the key issues that should be presented to the panel.
  4. Fix a date for the panel presentation.
  5. The researcher who will present to the panel.
  6. We inform the researcher of the outcomes of the application.

The applicant and the Office of Industry and Innovation will agree on a suitable date to monitor stage 2 progress - ideally half-way through stage 2 of the project. At this half-way point, a one-hour progress meeting will be arranged with us to discuss the following points:

  1. Review progress during the first half of stage 2.
  2. Review the project expenditure (planned versus the actual) at the half-way point.
  3. Agree on any variation in future expenditure, timelines or deliverables for stage 2.

Project administration on completion of stage 2


We will arrange a meeting at the end of stage 2 to discuss the following:

  1. Review the outcomes of the project and agree on the next steps for the terms of commercialisation.
  2. Review the final project report.
